Hi! I’m Rennyn, a self taught coloured pencil and graphite/charcoal artist from East London.

If you’re wondering “why the two different names?”- Well my real name is Rennyn, however when making my Tiktok, the thought of those I know in real life (specifically school) finding my account really put me off, so I used a handle name, and even though I dont necessarily care about that now, it kinda just stuck.

I have always been drawn to the challenge of realism, and the process of working slowly while seeing how a drawing comes to life.

I use nothing but traditional material and my process all starts with the hand-eye coordination skills I have trained myself to build over the years. I think there is something special creating an outcome without tracing or grid method or anything of the sorts, especially in a world where the concept of modern art has lead to a decline in more traditional art types. I have much to learn and i’m excited to see how this website will document my journey over the years!!
